Q: What home heating fuels do we deliver?

A: #2 Fuel and Kerosene


Q: What is the difference between using #2 Fuel and Kerosene?

A: We recommend Kerosene for homes with OUTSIDE tanks. Kerosene is not affected by the cold, winter temperatures. Therefore preventing the possibility of fuel gelling up, causing slow flow, blockage and possible heat stoppage.


Q: What are our fuel prices?

A: We offer market pricing. This means the price changes depending on the overall world economy. Call the office for today’s price.


Q: What discounts do we offer?

A: We offer a $ 0.10/gallon discount for fuel bills paid within 10 days of delivery. We also offer large quantity discounts for single deliveries over 250 gallons. Call the office for this information.


Q: What is our minimum deliverable amount?

A: 100 gallons is our minimum for home delivery.


Q: Do you offer a Budget plan?

A: Yes we offer a Budget plan for deliveries. The Budget plan runs 12 months from September to August of the next year. This plan is available for financial planning where customers can pay a set amount monthly for 12 months instead of paying for each delivery. Any credit or balance remaining at the end of the budget is carried over to the next year’s plan.


Q: Do we Service home heating systems?

A: Yes. We have licensed technicians to perform emergency services and preventative maintenance to our existing fuel customers.


Q: Do we provide Home Heating System services to non-fuel customers?

A: No. We only provide heating system services (emergency and preventative) to our fuel buying customers.


Q: Do we Install Home Heating Systems and Tanks?

A: Yes. We perform installations (including removal and disposal of existing) of home heating systems and tanks (inside and outside). Call the office for an estimate of this work.


Q: What are your payment options?

A: Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card. Automatic credit card payments can be arranged to be processed by the office. Payments can also be made on-line through this website.


Q: Do you have Service Contracts?

A: No. Shearman Oil does not offer Service Contracts. Service charges (Labor and Parts) are dictated on a case-by-case basis. General Service charges are $95.00-$125.00 per hour.
